Matt Hull is a trumpet player and composer from Boston, living in Brooklyn, NY. Hull is nostalgic for, and inspired by, novelty hand-held radios. He leads his own band, Radio Brass, and recently self-released a solo album, “Dreams of Radio Brass”.

Hull was a member of the indie rock/jazz outfit Really From, and was once referred to by WBUR as a “one-man brass band”. He has performed and/or recorded with many notable artists in various indie rock, jazz and punk circles: I Kill Giants, Goosepimp Orchestra, Evolfo, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, Prawn, Jer, Skatune Network, We Are The Union, Mt. Oriander, Patrick Talesfore, Jr., Max Ridley, Andrew Dow, Sloppy Jane, Peaceful Faces and John Cushing Big Band. He regularly plays with Brooklyn-based post-hardcore/indie band Stay Inside and is one half of the experimental horn duo, Lewis Lamp.

Hull maintains a busy freelance schedule performing, recording and teaching in NYC.
